With the soulful sound of steel guitar in the background, “Miss Montana” blends melody and mood to create an almost tropical feel for a love story set in Montana’s Big Sky Country.

Nicole’s light but expressive voice captivated me from the very beginning of this easygoing mid-tempo song. Her soft and inviting vocal wraps itself around the story of a woman who couldn’t keep him from leaving, but now Montana is missing him—and wondering if he misses Montana too.

“Miss Montana” is a well-crafted country ballad that gives us the opportunity to enjoy Nicole’s relaxed and inviting performance in a story that unfolds like a cinematic country postcard—where the skies are less blue and even the moon seems reluctant to glow.
