Essie Country 100th Song of the Week Acknowledgment

The week of March 15–21, 2026 marked the 100th Essie Country Song of the Week—a milestone that passed without recognition at the time.

This week, I’m taking a moment to acknowledge that milestone.

It’s only fitting to return to the artist who started it all. The very first Essie Country Song of the Week, back on April 21–27, 2024, was “Be Here Now” by Will Banister—a song that set the tone for what Essie Country stands for: real country music, built on tradition, and a sound that stays true to its roots.

To honor that milestone, this week’s selection is “Easy to Love” by Will Banister—a fitting choice that brings things full circle.

One hundred songs in, the mission remains the same: showcasing real country music—the way it’s supposed to sound.
