This week’s Essie Country’s Real Country Music Song of the Week is the fifth track from Ben McPeak’s 2019 album Better Off. One thing is certain: I’ve been better off since discovering this album because this is the third song from it I’ve used for a Song of the Week.

Previously, I featured McPeak’s Lonely Leave Me Alone and Looking Back With You. Lonely Leave Me Alone is one of the best country songs I’ve heard in the past several years. In fact, it’s so good that I chose it as Essie Country’s 2019 Song of the Year.

Ben McPeak’s catalog of songs is impressive. His style is unmistakably country, and his voice reminds me of country superstar Trace Adkins. When you listen to Ben McPeak, you may find yourself wanting to put your music player on repeat because his music is that addictive.

Put It On Repeat is one of those songs that will leave you wanting to hear more. Its uptempo melody and easy-to-listen-to vocals may have you adding Ben McPeak to your list of favorite real country artists—he is that good!
